In order to appropriately manage project implementation at provincial and district levels, NRI has recognized the importance of capacity development of relevant staff for the Project. As part of capacity development program for the government staff, 3-day financial management training was organized by the National Project Management Office of NRI at Vientiane from November 23rd to 25th by inviting provincial staff from four provinces, Oudomxai, Bokeo, Luang Namtha and Pongsaly, participants of which are as follows:

Oudomxai Province
- Mr. Mouanthong SENGLA
- Ms. Khampheng VILAYVANH

Bokeo Province
- Ms. Vienglay THONGBAN
- Ms. Sonemany KETMANY

Luang Namtha Province
- Ms. Phouthone ONEKEO
- Ms. Bouasavanh THONGXAYA

Pongsaly Province
- Ms. Pone SOUKTHAVONG
- Mr. SonePheth PHETHDALA

The topic of training was extended to accounting document management including statement of expenditure and receipts and payments facilitated by Messrs. Thavisack INTHAVONG and Khambongsay THAMMAVONGSA (NPMO). One of the remarkable points of the training was active participation of women representatives from provinces as women occupied 6 numbers out of 8 participants attended for the program to contribute to fruitful discussion in the class.
